During the period 05.–11. 2010 the Museum has carried out archaeological excavations at the following sites:

  • Emergency excavations on the territory of the town of Plovdiv (the ancient Philippopolis) – with at its head: Jeny Tankova, Maya Kyutova.
  • Thracian settlement centre from the classical times – with at its head: senior researcher Kostadin Kisiov PhD
